El 24 en la Librería Gaztambide de Madrid a las 18,30 horas, pero en la de la calle Meléndez Valdés nº 52, se celebró una sesión sobre «Los OCHO LiBROS QUE MEJOR NOS HAN CONTADO EL DESASTRE de ANNUAL».
Yo tengo la firme sospecha de que Vicente Fernández Riera autor del mejor libro «De Cuba a Annual», y de otro muy notable, aunque algo difícil de lectura «Xauen 1924», ha tenido acceso a los papeles perdidos del General Manuel Fndez. Silvestre. Pues cuando Juan Pando se arruinó al comprar el «Legado Silvestre» a los descendientes de su primo y ayudante el Tte. Cnel. Marco Tulio López su mayor decepción fue no encontrar los papeles decisivos. Pues los documentos próximos a los días al Desastre fueron supuestamente destruidos por el propio Marco Tulio, por orden de su General y primo Manuel Fndez. Silvestre, cuando en el coche del propio Silvestre se traslada con urgencia a Melilla. Silvestre tiene claro «el Desastre», que se va a producir y en vez de organizar bien la retirada opta por suicidarse.
La misión de Marco Tulio tiene otro cometido salvar al joven oficial e hijo de Sivestre llamado «Bolete» Vicente Fndez. Riera que fue capitán de la Legión y luego insigne jurista Secretario General del Tribunal Superior de Galicia, aunque era de origen asturiano parece que era de importante capacidad económica, e invitado habitual a los ambientes de los Premios Príncipe de Asturias en el Hotel Reconquista y en el Teatro Campoamor en Oviedo.
Otra posibilidad, menos probable, es que esos documentos hubieran llegado a la Editorial que ha publicado los dos libros de Riera y se los dejara leer. Esta editorial que ha perdido su sede a manos de un «fondo buitre» de origen venezolano. Lo mismo nos sorprende publicando estos papeles perdidos.
El hecho de que me hayan intentado impedir el acto del día 24, aumenta mis sospechas de que algo raro ocurre. Esperemos que la muerte reciente de Vicente Fernández Riera con 87 años y al parecer sin familiares próximos, no se haya llevado el secreto a la tumba.
Marco Tulio López fue asesinado al principio de la Guerra Civil en el Cuartel del Inmemorial del Paseo de Moret. «Bolete», falleció en combate en la guerra. Marco Tulio tuvo un hijo soltero, Coronel del Ej. de T., que vivió muy feliz en Málaga, las dos hermanas del General Silvestre también fallecieron solteras. Vivían en la casa que Silvestre compartió con su madre cercana a la plaza de La Lealtad ( ahí tenía su despacho el abogado de mi familia ) y cerca de la casa en la que vivió el General Berenguer. Esa es la razón por la que una rama colateral: los sobrinos de Marco Tulio, acabaron heredando el «Legado Silvestre» cuadros de Bertuchi incluidos, que en buena parte adquirió Juan Pando. J. Riesgo.
